Vinegar Cookies


1  cup butter flavored shortening (Margarine or Butter)
3/4  cup sugar
1  teaspoon vanilla or almond flavoring
2  tablespoons white vinegar
1  teaspoon baking soda
1 3/4 cups flour

At room temperature beat shortening at high speed until creamy.
Add sugar beat until mixed with shortening.
Add flavoring, vinegar, baking soda and gradually add flour.
Beat at high speed until all flour has been added and mixed.
Drop by teaspoon on ungreased cookie sheet.
Bake at 325° for approximately 12 minutes, until golden brown.

Yield: Approximately 3 1/2 dozen when using a 1 tablespoon cookie scoop.
