Star Cookies

Dough
5 Cups Flour
1 Lb. Crisco
1 Cup Milk
4 Egg Yolks
1 Package Dry Yeast
Pinch of Salt
Lekwar Filling
2 Lb. Lekwar
4 Tbs. Sugar
1/2 Cup Water
       Nut Filling
       1 Lb. Ground Nuts
       1/2 Cup Sugar
       1/2 Cup Milk
       1 Tsp. Vanilla or Lemon

Disolve yeast in milk.
Mix flour and Crisco, add eggs, salt and milk.
Roll dough on granulated sugar.
Cut into 2.5 to 3" squares with diagonal cuts at the corners.
Place filling in the center and fold flaps around filling.

Bake at 375 degrees until golden brown.

Choose only one filling. Lekwar is prune butter.
